Pesquera Camanchaca is the largest Chilean seafood company and has been in business for more than 45 years with steady growth and diversification. The company is divided in two main areas: Farming (salmon, abalone, scallops & mussels) and Fishing (fishmeal, frozen mackerel, canned mackerel/ salmon and fish oil). All products are processed according to the most demanding health standards and environmental regulations. Our fish oil is obtained from wild fish both from the North (anchovy) and South of Chile (mackerel & sardine) caught by our own fleet around the Pacific Ocean. Our yearly production is 5.000 MT in our Northern plant (Iquique) which is mainly going to the omega-3 market (28-33% of EPA/DHA) in Europe and North America. In our Southern plant (Concepcion Bay), 13.000 MT mainly goes to the aquaculture feed due to low omega-3 (25% EPA/DHA) and the plant’s location (near the salmon feed producers).
