Tell us about yourself

I am a French person living in Peru since 1997, married to Carolina and the father of two daughters. I graduated as an economist and have completed several masters, the last of which was in organizational management at the University of Piura. I have been involved in the fishing industry for the last 25 years, managing positions within the Peruvian company Austral Group SAA. I was first engaged as a Commercial Manager and am now Chief Operating Officer. I have a deep understanding of the production and commercialization of crude fish oil for omega-3, as well as the technical side of the product. Additionally, I am a director of Peru's National Fishing Society (SNP), the association of fishing companies in Peru where I have been in charge of the Committee for Marine Ingredient for the last 5 years.

Why are you running for the Board of Directors?

My experience in the Peruvian fishing industry and involvement in the activities of the National Fishing Society could bring various benefits to GOED. First, by providing the board with an insight into the Peruvian industry, with first-hand information and understanding related to fishing, production and regulatory updates. Then, by promoting the collaboration between the Peruvian industry and GOED on technical, regulatory and sustainability issues, where my position as director of the National Fishing Society can help raise awareness of the challenges facing the Omega3 industry amongst Peruvian producers and support possible future joint activities. Finally, supporting the execution of GOED’s strategic plan through feedback whenever required — especially on actions related to sustainability and communication which are at the core our agenda in both Austral Group and the National Fishing Society.
