Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry I am a product development and innovation leader with extensive experience in the health and nutraceutical sector, including significant involvement in the omega-3 category. Throughout my career, I have worked across product development, regulatory strategy, clinical substantiation, quality, manufacturing, and commercialization of omega-3 products in multiple markets across Australia and Asia-Pacific.
My experience covers the full product lifecycle, from ingredient sourcing and supplier qualification through to formulation development, stability, sensory optimization, regulatory compliance, and market launch. I have worked with a variety of omega-3 formats, including fish oils, concentrated EPA and DHA products, prenatal omega-3 formulations, children's products, and combination supplements incorporating vitamins, minerals, and other bioactives.
Why are you running for the Board of Directors? I am interested in serving on the GOED Board because I believe the omega-3 industry has a unique opportunity to improve global health outcomes through science-based innovation, quality, and consumer trust. Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of product development, clinical evidence, regulatory compliance, and commercialization, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute this experience to helping shape the future direction of the industry. I am also a Nutrionist and Pharmacist who has great interest in Omega 3 and its link to hallmarks of aging.
What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent? I would bring a combination of scientific, product development, regulatory, and commercial expertise gained through more than two decades in the health and nutraceutical industry. My career has spanned innovation, research translation, product development, manufacturing, quality, regulatory compliance, providing me with a holistic understanding of how scientific advances can be transformed into trusted consumer health solutions.
A significant portion of my experience has involved developing evidence-based nutritional products across global markets, including omega-3 formulations for cardiovascular health, cognitive performance, maternal and infant nutrition, healthy ageing, and inflammation management. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of robust science, product quality, and responsible communication in maintaining consumer and healthcare professional confidence in the omega-3 category.
I would also bring a valuable Asia-Pacific perspective to the Board. Having worked extensively across Australia and international markets including China, I understand the opportunities and challenges associated with growing omega-3 awareness, navigating diverse regulatory environments, and meeting the evolving needs of consumers and healthcare professionals. As the global omega-3 market continues to expand, I believe this regional perspective can help strengthen GOED's ability to support members in both established and emerging markets.
In addition, I have extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex innovation product development. This has enabled me to develop strong skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, governance, and decision-making, all of which are important for effective board leadership. I am comfortable balancing scientific rigor with commercial realities and am passionate about helping organizations identify opportunities that create long-term value for members and consumers alike.
Most importantly, I would bring a collaborative and member-focused approach. I believe GOED plays a vital role in advancing the science, quality, sustainability, and reputation of EPA and DHA omega-3s globally. I would actively listen to member needs, encourage diverse viewpoints, and work constructively with fellow Board members to ensure GOED continues to provide leadership on issues that matter most to the industry.
Through my experience, global perspective, and commitment to science-based innovation, I hope to contribute to GOED's mission of advancing the understanding, quality, and responsible growth of the omega-3 industry for the benefit of members and consumers worldwide.
