GOED Releases 2024 Global EPA and DHA Omega-3 Ingredient Market Report
The 2024 edition of GOED’s annual Global EPA and DHA Omega-3 Ingredient Market Report is now available. The report details the entire EPA and DHA omega-3 industry in the raw materials segment of the supply chain.
Last year was a challenging year for the industry, with supply shortages and high prices impacting markets around the world. The total global volume of omega-3 ingredients in 2023 was 124,480 metric tons, a 1.4% increase over 2022, while the value increased 22.5% (driven by the aforementioned higher prices) to US$2.09 billion.
The report includes market figures for 14 omega-3 sources in 11 geographies and six end product applications (dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, infant formula, pet nutrition, food and beverage, and clinical nutrition) as well as data from 2022 and 2023, with forecasts through 2026.
Because of GOED’s intimate knowledge of the category and its access to proprietary sales data from member companies, the report is considered the most accurate and comprehensive report available on the global EPA and DHA industry. A sample of the report, as well as purchase information, is available on the GOED website.
