Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry Jason is the CEO of OmegaQuant Analytics and an experienced leader in the omega-3 and fatty acid testing industry. He joined OmegaQuant in 2011 and has helped guide the company’s growth from an emerging laboratory into a recognized leader in nutritional biomarker testing.
With more than 15 years of laboratory experience, Jason brings expertise in strategic operations, clinical research, laboratory management, medical device manufacturing, and quality systems, including CLIA and ISO standards. Under his leadership, OmegaQuant has expanded access to the Omega-3 Index and other nutritional status tests for researchers, healthcare professionals, and consumers, while establishing collaborations that have helped extend omega-3 testing into international markets.
He is also actively involved in the broader fatty acid research community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Fatty Acid Research Institute (FARI). He holds an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls and is passionate about advancing innovative, science-based testing that helps translate omega-3 research into practical tools for improving health.
Why are you running for the Board of Directors? Jason would be a strong candidate for the GOED Board because he brings a valuable perspective at the intersection of omega-3 science, diagnostics, business strategy, and public health. As CEO of OmegaQuant Analytics, he has spent more than a decade helping advance fatty acid testing and translating omega-3 research into practical tools used by researchers, healthcare professionals, brands, and consumers. His background spans strategic operations, clinical research, laboratory management, medical device manufacturing, and rigorous quality systems.
Importantly, he represent the measurement and diagnostics side of the omega-3 industry, providing a perspective that complements GOED’s broad membership across ingredients, manufacturing, supplements, and finished products. GOED has historically identified diagnostics as an important strategic opportunity, making Jason’s experience particularly relevant.
His commitment to science-based education, quality, innovation, and increasing awareness of omega-3 status aligns closely with GOED’s mission to expand access to quality EPA and DHA products that positively impact public health. He would bring both a scientific and commercial perspective to the Board to support the future growth of the omega-3 category.
What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent? Jason would bring a unique perspective combining omega-3 science, biomarker testing, laboratory operations, and business leadership. As CEO of OmegaQuant, he has spent more than a decade helping translate fatty acid research into practical testing solutions used by researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and consumers. In addition, OmegaQuant has translated fatty acid research into easy-to-understand educational content and simple clinical tools.
Jason could help strengthen the connection between omega-3 products and measurable health outcomes—bringing insight into personalized health, research, consumer education, and greater awareness of omega-3 status. His combination of scientific understanding, operational experience, and industry perspective would broaden the Board’s expertise and provide valuable representation for an important and growing segment of the omega-3 industry.
