How to Apply
If you’re ready to join the global omega-3 community, follow these steps to complete your application and activate your membership.
Step 1: Choose a Membership Level
Review membership levels and benefits to confirm the best fit for your company.
Step 2: Complete the Membership Application
Submit your company information and select your preferred membership level. Applicants must certify compliance with the GOED Code of Ethics & Business Practices and the GOED Monograph.

GOED Monograph Requirements
GOED members must adhere to the GOED Monograph quality standards for EPA and DHA omega-3 products. The GOED Monograph currently applies to EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids from marine, plant and microbial sources in triglyceride, ethyl ester and re-esterified triglyceride forms.
Products outside the scope of the Monograph at this point in time include:
- Crude unrefined oils
- Complex formulations
- Special delivery systems
- Oils with less than 10% total omega-3 content
- Polar lipid oils
- Free fatty acid oils
If none of your EPA/DHA products fall within the scope of the GOED Monograph, please still submit a Certificate of Analysis. This will help us better understand your products and provide any relevant technical feedback during the onboarding process.
Step 3: Submit Quality Documentation
Provide to Ashley Becnel:
- GOED Monograph Checklist Form
- Certificates of Analysis and/or original testing reports demonstrating compliance with GOED Monograph requirements

Step 4: GOED Team Review
GOED reviews your application and supporting documentation.
Step 5: Pay Membership Dues
Upon approval, GOED will issue an invoice for membership dues.
Step 6: Membership Activation
Your membership becomes active once payment is received.
GOED Monograph Requirements

Certificate of Analysis Requirements
Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) must include the GOED Monograph parameters and units of measurement specified below. Applicants are responsible for verifying that the submitted CoA contains all required parameters and uses the exact units of measurement specified. CoAs that do not meet these requirements will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.

If you sell multiple types of EPA and DHA omega-3 oil ingredients or market multiple finished products containing EPA and DHA, please refer to the table below to determine how many CoAs and corresponding checklists you should submit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the membership review process take?
The review process typically takes less than one week when all required documents are submitted correctly and completely. Reviews may take longer if information is missing, unclear, incomplete, or does not meet GOED Monograph requirements.
Can I submit CoAs from multiple laboratories?
Yes. You may submit Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) from multiple laboratories, as long as they collectively cover all required GOED Monograph parameters and each CoA includes the product name, batch number, laboratory name, date of analysis, and analyst or quality control signature.
Can I submit documents that are not in English?
Yes. While GOED prefers documents in English, CoAs in other languages are accepted. Please highlight the relevant test parameters and provide English translations of the relevant sections whenever possible.
When does my membership become active?
Your membership becomes active after your application has been approved, membership dues have been paid, and GOED has completed the membership activation process.
