Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry For over 27 years I have worked within the omega-3 industry, building experience across sourcing, supply chain management, contract manufacturing and strategic procurement. Today, as Head of Procurement for a global CDMO, I hold global responsibility for omega-3 strategy across 15 manufacturing facilities serving many of the world's leading nutrition and supplement brands.
Throughout my career I have been fortunate to develop strong relationships across the value chain, with many industry contacts becoming trusted friends as well as respected business partners. These relationships, combined with experience managing global supply networks, have given me a practical understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing our industry.
I remain passionate about continuing to learn and contribute, drawing on the collective expertise of leaders throughout the sector and organisations such as GOED that help advance the science, reputation and long-term sustainability of omega-3.
Why are you running for the Board of Directors? I am running for the GOED Board because I believe the omega-3 industry benefits most when we work collaboratively across the entire value chain to navigate both the opportunities and challenges ahead.
Having spent more than 27 years in the industry and now leading omega-3 procurement strategy for a global CDMO across 15 facilities, I see first-hand how developments upstream ultimately impact brands, retailers and consumers. Current harvest pressures and changing environmental conditions are creating challenges that look set to remain part of our industry's future. These realities require greater collaboration, transparency and long-term thinking from all stakeholders.
As an encapsulator to many of the world's leading brands, I would like to help bring the perspective of the downstream supply chain to Board discussions, highlighting both the positive and negative impacts of decisions made further upstream and identifying where, together, we can influence better outcomes.
I am particularly passionate about protecting consumer access to omega-3 products. If prices rise beyond reasonable levels or products become unavailable, there is a genuine risk that mainstream consumers move away from omega-3 purchases altogether. While many consumers now view omega-3 as essential, we must continue to support broader category growth and accessibility.
What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent? I would bring a practical, global supply chain perspective developed through more than 27 years in the omega-3 industry and my current responsibility for procurement strategy across 15 manufacturing facilities worldwide.
My role provides visibility across the entire value chain, from raw material sourcing through to finished products supplied to many of the world's leading brands. This enables me to understand how market dynamics, harvest performance, environmental pressures and supply availability affect industry participants at every stage.
I would also bring a collaborative and relationship-focused approach. Over many years I have built a broad network of trusted contacts across regions and sectors of the industry, allowing me to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders and viewpoints.
Most importantly, I believe I can help represent the voice of the customer and consumer, ensuring discussions consider not only supply realities but also affordability, product availability and the long-term growth of the omega-3 category.
