Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry I am CEO of Veramaris, the world’s leading producer of EPA and DHA omega-3 algal oil. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about translating scientific innovation into real-world impact by building markets, forging partnerships, and driving adoption at scale.
At Veramaris, I work across the omega-3 value chain, collaborating with feed producers, farmers, retailers, NGOs, and industry partners to expand access to EPA and DHA through innovative and scalable solutions. One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey has been bringing together stakeholders with different priorities around a shared ambition: making omega-3 nutrition more accessible, sustainable, and resilient.
This experience has given me a deep appreciation for both the opportunities and challenges facing our industry. I am convinced that the future of omega-3s will be defined not only by scientific excellence, but also by our ability to work together to deliver lasting value for people and the planet.
Why are you running for the Board of Directors? The omega-3 industry has done an outstanding job building scientific credibility, product quality, and consumer trust. The next opportunity is to ensure omega-3s remain central to the global conversation around nutrition, food security, sustainability, and climate resilience.
I am running for the GOED Board because I believe our industry is strongest when we work together on the issues that matter most. As food systems face increasing pressure to improve nutrition, strengthen resilience, satisfy stakeholder expectations, and reduce environmental impact, EPA and DHA have an increasingly important role to play. GOED is uniquely positioned to help communicate that value, strengthen trust in science, and support responsible industry growth.
My experience has taught me that breakthrough solutions only achieve meaningful impact when value chains move together. Lasting progress requires collaboration across companies, sectors, and stakeholders, supported by a shared commitment to evidence, transparency, and long-term thinking.
As a Board member, I would bring a strategic and collaborative perspective to help GOED expand the relevance, adoption, and impact of omega-3s globally while remaining a trusted voice for the industry.
What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent? I would bring the perspective of a CEO who has helped grow the adoption of sustainable EPA and DHA solutions by aligning stakeholders across the value chain around a common vision.
Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of science, commercialization, sustainability, and partnership building, in both human as well as animal nutrition space. I have learned that industry transformation happens when organizations move beyond individual interests and collaborate toward shared outcomes that create value for customers, communities, and the broader food system.
I would also bring experience navigating the sustainability and climate challenges that increasingly shape the future of food production. The long-term growth of omega-3s will depend on our ability to demonstrate not only health benefits, but also resilience, resource efficiency, and responsible production.
Finally, I bring a global perspective and a strong belief that collaboration, scientific credibility, and innovation are essential to ensuring a vibrant future for the omega-3 industry and all GOED members.
