Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry.

I am R&D Director and Regulatory Affairs Director at Enervit S.p.A., an Italian company specialising in sports nutrition, functional foods and dietary supplements. I hold a Chemistry degree specialising in Organic Chemistry. I joined Enervit in 2000 and have led R&D since 2008 and Regulatory Affairs since 2012. Previously, I served as Quality Director and held a general management assignment for an Enervit product line, including marketing responsibility.

My responsibilities span product development, regulatory compliance and scientific assessment across global markets. EnerZona Omega 3 RX is a flagship product in Enervit's portfolio, one of Europe's leading omega-3 food-supplement brands and Italy's market-leading
omega-3 supplement.

I represent Enervit within GOED, SNE, ESSNA and Unione Italiana Food, where I serve on the technical steering committee of Integratori & Salute, its food-supplement division. This engagement has given me extensive experience developing industry positions.

Why are you running for the Board of Directors?

I am running for the GOED Board because I want to help translate the science behind EPA and DHA into greater consumer understanding, confidence and access to quality products.

Working across R&D, regulatory affairs and communication has shown me how closely these objectives are connected. Strong evidence must inform product development, support credible claims and be communicated in ways that consumers and healthcare professionals can understand.

I would focus on strengthening education, supporting rigorous and practical quality standards, and helping members anticipate regulatory developments. I also want to contribute to discussions on responsible sourcing and supply resilience, recognising their importance for both consumer access and the long-term viability of the category.

Having represented Enervit within GOED, I would welcome the opportunity to take greater responsibility for its direction. I would bring a European finished-product perspective while listening to members across different markets and parts of the supply chain. My aim would be to support shared priorities that strengthen the reputation and sustainable growth of the entire EPA and DHA industry.

What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent?

I bring a cross-functional perspective. I lead R&D and Regulatory Affairs and serve on Enervit's Scientific Management Board. Previously, I was Quality Director and completed a general management assignment for an Enervit product line, including responsibility for marketing. This breadth allows me to evaluate decisions across science, quality, compliance, development, communication and consumer needs.

My trade association experience spans GOED, SNE, ESSNA and Unione Italiana Food. I serve on the technical steering committee of Integratori & Salute, Unione Italiana Food's food-supplement division and Europe's largest national food-supplement trade association, representing 240 national and multinational companies.

I would bring the perspective of a finished-product company at the consumer-facing end of the omega-3 value chain. I understand how decisions on sourcing, processing, quality and regulation affect products, market access, consumer understanding and trust. I would help GOED connect perspectives across the supply chain and translate strong science and standards into consumer value.
