Chief Commercial Officer

GC Rieber VivoMega

Plus Level Candidate

Tell us about yourself and your experience in the omega-3 industry.

I am Chief commercial officer at GC Rieber VivoMega, a global producer of marine- and algae-based omega-3 concentrates. My responsibilities include commercial strategy, international sales, business development, key account management, and long-term customer partnerships.

During my career in the omega-3 industry, I have worked with dietary supplement brands, contract manufacturers, distributors, and other partners across North America, Europe, Asia, and additional international markets. This has given me experience throughout the value chain—from raw-material availability, production planning, and product development to pricing, regulatory requirements, and bringing products successfully to market.

Working in a global and constantly evolving industry has taught me the importance of combining long-term strategy with practical execution. I am passionate about omega-3s and their contribution to human health, and I value the collaboration between companies and individuals that continues to move our industry forward.

Why are you running for the Board of Directors?

I am running for the GOED Board because I believe our industry benefits from a strong, credible organization that brings companies together around shared priorities.

The omega-3 category has significant opportunities for continued growth, but it also faces challenges related to consumer understanding, scientific communication, responsible sourcing, regulation, and confidence in product quality. GOED has an important role in helping the industry address these issues collectively and in ensuring that the benefits of EPA and DHA are communicated clearly and responsibly.

I would like to become more actively involved in this work and help shape the future direction of the organization. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to strengthen cooperation between different parts of the value chain and to support initiatives that create sustainable demand for omega-3s.

Serving on the Board would allow me to contribute to something larger than my own company. My goal would be to support GOED in delivering practical value to its members while strengthening trust in and awareness of omega-3s globally.

What experience, perspective or expertise would you bring to the Board and to the members you would represent?

I would bring an international, commercially focused perspective grounded in the realities of operating across the omega-3 value chain. My experience includes strategic planning, global key account management, pricing, supply-and-demand management, production capacity, responsible sourcing, and the commercialization of both marine- and algae-based concentrates.

This combination allows me to understand how developments in raw materials, manufacturing, regulation, and consumer demand affect GOED members differently. I am accustomed to balancing immediate commercial challenges with longer-term industry development and translating complex market conditions into practical decisions.

As a Board member, I would listen carefully to the different interests represented within GOED and work constructively toward common ground. I would bring a pragmatic and collaborative approach, contribute actively to Board discussions, and remain focused on outcomes that create tangible value for members while supporting the credibility and sustainable growth of the wider omega-3 category.
