GOED Appointments New Board of Directors; Initiates Traceability Program

The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) has appointed new leadership on its Board of Directors.

Todd Norton has been appointed Chairperson for the 2026-2027 term. Norton, who serves as Vice President of Business Development at Aker BioMarine, brings extensive industry expertise and a strategic vision to the role. He replaces Gonzalo Caceres, Commercial Director at TASA, who will serve as past-chair for the upcoming year. GOED greatly appreciates Caceres’ dedicated service and the important work he did in conjunction with GOED management during his time as chairperson.

Joining Norton on the board are:

  • Vice-Chair: Jon O’Farrell, Chief Operating Officer at Vivo Brands

  • Second Vice-Chair: Michelle Stout, Regulatory Policy Director at Amway

  • Treasurer: Ruben Valentin, Chief Commercial Officer at Solutex

  • Secretary: Cari Anderson, President of Carlson Labs.

The GOED board of directors also held its strategic planning meeting late last year and completed a “strategy refresh” of GOED’s goals for the 2026-2028 time frame. One major  development as part of the strategy is a focus on industry traceability. GOED plans to develop an official traceability program for its members, aimed at further strengthening consumer trust and supply chain integrity.
